Parts Orders
Special-order and non-stock parts must be paid for in full before they are ordered from our suppliers. Some parts and products may be sourced from international suppliers. Once a parts order has been placed, it may not be cancelled or refunded unless required under Australian Consumer Law. If a repair is subsequently cancelled after parts have been ordered, Cyan Tech may retain payment for any non-returnable or supplier-incurred costs.

Customers acknowledge that devices may contain existing faults, damage, or weaknesses that may not be visible during initial inspection.
Devices with previous damage, unauthorised repairs, liquid exposure, internal corrosion, or severe physical damage may have an increased risk of failure during repair, testing, or normal use.
Cyan Tech is not responsible for failures unrelated to the requested repair where the failure results from:
- Existing damage

The final cost may change where:
- Additional faults are discovered
- The device condition differs from the original description
- Additional parts or labour are required
- Supplier pricing or availability changes
- Quote was given as a rough estimate
Where practical, Cyan Tech will contact customers before completing additional chargeable work.
Approval delays may result in longer completion times.

11. Customer Supplied Parts
Where a customer provides their own replacement parts, accessories, software, or components, Cyan Tech does not guarantee the quality, compatibility, availability, or reliability of those items.
Warranty coverage may not apply to:
- Customer supplied parts
- Faults caused by customer supplied parts

14. Diagnostic Policy
Cyan Tech does not charge a standard diagnostic fee for general device assessment.
However, where additional investigation is required outside the original repair scope (including but not limited to post-repair issues such as camera, display, or hardware anomalies), additional service fees may apply.
Customers will be informed before any additional charges are incurred.

20. Website Authority
The website version of these Terms & Conditions is the official and most up-to-date version. Printed or verbal summaries are for convenience only.
21. Shipping & Delivery
21.1 Dispatch Times
Cyan Tech aims to dispatch in-stock orders within 1–3 business days after payment has been received and order verification is complete.
Pre-order, special-order, or supplier-sourced products may have longer lead times. Some products may be sourced from international suppliers and may require additional time due to supplier processing, international shipping, customs clearance, or stock availability. Estimated timeframes will be provided where available.
Shipping times are estimates only and may vary due to:
- Courier delays
- Weather events
- Public holidays
- Remote area delivery times
- Circumstances outside Cyan Tech's control
Attempts to contact the customer about any shipping variations will be made.
21.2 Delivery Responsibility
Once an order has been dispatched and tracking information has been provided, delivery responsibility transfers to the courier provider.
Cyan Tech is not responsible for delays caused by courier services, incorrect delivery addresses, or failure to collect parcels.
21.3 Incorrect Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information.
If an order is returned due to an incorrect address or failure to collect, additional shipping charges may apply before the order is resent.
21.4 Lost or Damaged Parcels
All parcels are shipped using tracked delivery services where available.
If a parcel arrives damaged, customers should:
- Take photographs of the packaging and item
- Contact Cyan Tech as soon as possible
- Provide any requested information required for courier claims
Cyan Tech will assist customers in resolving shipping issues but is not responsible for damage caused during courier transit where appropriate insurance or claims processes apply.
21.5 Supplier & International Orders
Some products sold by Cyan Tech may be sourced from third-party suppliers, including international suppliers.
Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and may vary due to:
- Supplier processing times
- Stock availability
- International shipping delays
- Customs processing
- Courier delays
- Public holidays or other external factors
Cyan Tech will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant delays.
Where a product is delayed due to supplier or shipping circumstances outside of Cyan Tech's control, this does not constitute a failure to supply, provided Cyan Tech continues to act reasonably and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
21.6 Product Availability & Substitutions
Due to supplier stock changes, product availability and specifications may change without notice.
Where possible, Cyan Tech will notify customers of any significant changes before dispatch.
If an ordered product becomes unavailable, Cyan Tech may offer:
- An equivalent replacement product
- A revised delivery timeframe
- A refund where appropriate
22. Refurbished Device Condition
Refurbished devices sold by Cyan Tech are inspected, tested, and graded based on their cosmetic condition and functionality.
Device grades describe the cosmetic condition of the device only and do not represent a reduction in warranty coverage. All refurbished devices are covered under the same warranty terms unless otherwise stated.
Devices may show:
- Minor scratches, marks, or signs of previous use
- Replaced components where disclosed
- Variation in battery capacity depending on device model, age, and condition
Refurbished devices are graded from A, B, C, and D, with condition varying between grades:
- Grade A: Excellent condition with minimal signs of use
- Grade B: Good condition with light cosmetic wear from normal use
- Grade C: Fair condition with more noticeable cosmetic wear, but fully functional
- Grade D: Heavily used condition, may have significant cosmetic damage or require additional disclosure regarding condition, such as damage
Some devices may receive a "+" grade modifier where additional refurbishment or upgrades have been completed. A "+" grade does not indicate a higher cosmetic grade, but highlights additional work or improvements made to the device.
Examples:
- A+ Grade: Excellent cosmetic condition with additional refurbishment, such as a new battery or premium replacement component
- B+ Grade: Good cosmetic condition with upgraded or replaced components following refurbishment
- C+ Grade: Functional device with noticeable cosmetic wear that has received additional refurbishment work
Unless otherwise stated, all refurbished devices are tested to ensure advertised functions are operating correctly at the time of sale.
23. Battery Health & Consumable Components
Batteries are considered consumable components and naturally degrade over time.
Battery performance may vary depending on:
- Device model
- Usage patterns
- Charging habits
- Age of the battery
Battery capacity or health percentage may not represent the remaining usable lifespan of a device.
Battery replacement is not covered under warranty unless the battery itself develops a fault covered under the warranty period.
24. Accessories
Accessories supplied or sold by Cyan Tech may have different warranty periods depending on the manufacturer and product type.
Consumable items including:
- Cables
- Screen protectors
- Cases
- Adhesives
are not covered for damage caused by misuse, wear, or accidental damage.
25. Payment Disputes
Customers agree to contact Cyan Tech directly to resolve issues before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback.
Unauthorised chargebacks may result in suspension of future purchases or services while the matter is investigated.
