6. Privacy

Customer information is collected for service, communication, and warranty purposes only. It is not sold or shared except where required by law.

7. Diagnostic Policy

Cyan Tech does not charge a standard diagnostic fee for general device assessment.

However, where additional investigation is required outside the original repair scope (including but not limited to post-repair issues such as camera, display, or hardware anomalies), additional service fees may apply.

Customers will be informed before any additional charges are incurred.

8. Repair Outcomes and Limitations

While Cyan Tech aims to provide high-quality repair services, not all devices are fully repairable depending on damage severity, part availability, or prior repair history.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Liquid-damaged devices
  • Devices with board-level or extensive internal damage
  • Devices previously repaired or modified by third parties

Cyan Tech does not guarantee successful repair outcomes in all cases.

9. Account Locks and Software Restrictions (Trade-In & Consignment Only)

Devices submitted for trade-in or consignment must be free from activation or manufacturer locks, including:

  • Apple ID / iCloud Activation Lock
  • Google FRP Lock
  • Other manufacturer account locks

Devices that are locked may:

  • Be rejected
  • Be returned to the customer
  • Or have their valuation reduced significantly

This clause applies specifically to trade-in and consignment devices and does not restrict standard repair services unless the lock prevents service completion.

10. Trade-In Devices

Trade-in values are based on:

  • Device condition
  • Functionality
  • Cosmetic wear
  • Market demand

All trade-in offers are subject to physical inspection. If the device condition differs from the description provided, Cyan Tech reserves the right to adjust or withdraw the offer.

Trade-in quotes are valid for a limited time only.

11. Consignment Sales

Cyan Tech may offer consignment services where customer devices are sold on their behalf.

Conditions:

  • Devices remain the property of the customer until sold
  • Cyan Tech acts as an intermediary facilitator
  • Final sale price may vary depending on market demand and condition

Fees & Payments:

  • Commission or service fees will be agreed in advance
  • Payment is issued after the device is sold and funds are cleared

Unsold Devices:

If a device does not sell within the agreed timeframe, Cyan Tech may:

  • Return the device to the customer
  • Adjust pricing strategy with consent
  • Extend the listing period by mutual agreement

Condition Responsibility:

Cyan Tech is not responsible for undisclosed faults, wear, or degradation present prior to consignment.

12. Ownership and Risk (Trade-In & Consignment)

For trade-in and consignment devices:

  • Ownership transfers only upon agreed trade-in acceptance or completed sale (depending on arrangement type)
  • Cyan Tech is responsible only for reasonable care during handling and storage

Cyan Tech is not liable for normal handling wear, testing impacts, or market value changes during the listing or assessment period
