Western Digital WD Purple 4TB Surveillance HDD

The WD Purple 4TB Surveillance HDD (WD44PURZ) is designed specifically for always-on security camera recording and surveillance systems. Built for write-intensive workloads, it is suitable for NVRs, DVRs and other systems that continuously record multiple camera streams.

With 4TB of storage, CMR recording technology, a 128MB cache and support for workloads of up to 180TB per year, the WD Purple provides reliable storage for continuous surveillance recording.

WD's AllFrame technology is designed to improve recording performance and help reduce dropped frames in surveillance workloads. The drive supports systems with up to 16 drive bays and up to 64 HD cameras, depending on the overall surveillance system configuration.
